The Flame of Hope
Amidst the darkness,I was a lonely knight,
That set a quest, without any clear sight.
Without a source of strength, I was without any might,
But I never lost hope, in my search for light.
Along the road, I just suddenly met you,
You cured my emptiness, rid all my blue.
I was in disbelief, but I know it is true,
For I found someone, who made me feel like new.
So I made a vow, that will protect us two,
A flame of hope, that will always burn for you.
A flame that will last, even when storms come through,
Hoping in some way, you’ll feel the same way too.
But to prove my worth, I was put to a test,
I was to fight a dragon, inside its nest.
And I seek for you, to bring out my best,
With a fight so fierce, I barely got a rest.
I glanced at your beauty, I lost my guard,
In the decisive battle, I fell down so hard.
Like its claws that had pierced through my beating heart,
The coup de grace needed, I was torn apart.
Even so, there is no need for you to mourn,
As I will wait for you, as i watch your journ.
As my hoping flame, will continue to burn,
Wishing our happiness, will finally turn.
